As we do each and every Friday we are going to take a look at some of the Ads released this week. Let’s just jump right in shall week?
Amazon Advertising: The Mistaken Identity Project
There are a lot of people in the world who share a name with a famous person, which I am sure has its upsides as well as its downsides. San Francisco Ad agency, Amazon Advertising has this same sort of problem with – you guessed it – Amazon. To get this message across they enlisted the help of Justin Bieber, Renee Zellweger, David Letterman and more to recant their stories for Amazon’s “Mistaken Identity Project”.
VH1’s Dating Naked: Dancing Naked Stunt
VH1 is embarking on its newest reality show “Dating Naked” where, surprise, it’s all about contestants going on dates naked. To promote the show they released a video on (go figure) National Nude Day! The stunt consisted of various people dancing around naked in the streets of LA to the tune “I’m Just Wild About Harry.” For something that could have easily come across as sleazy they manage to pull off a rather charming and sweet one-take video that is mostly safe for work.
Heineken Light: Neil Patrick Harris
Heineken has enlisted the beloved Neil Patrick Harris for it’s latest Ad promoting Heineken Light. In the ad Neil and director debate over his confusion over not being able to drink in the commercial poking fun at broadcast networks Television Code loathed guideline. Bless Neil Patrick Harris and his undying charisma for pulling what could have felt like a drab Ad off.
